With all of the hate the world has been surrounded by recently, it’s almost hard to imagine a world where people actually connect.
If you ever questioned the division that stands among us today, all you have to do is read the comments and responses to the unfairness of society posted on social media channels and different news outlets. Through reading them, you will find the disconnect that continues to exist among us today.
As the group Choir! Choir! Choir! has proven, at times, the only thing that is truly necessary is our ability to connect and acknowledging our commonalities. What better way to get the party started, than by singing your heart out.
In February of 2011, both Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman (AKA “DaBu”) founded Choir! Choir! Choir! as a weekly around Toronto, Canada for people to sing and enjoy the company of one another.
One thing that’s for sure is that they never anticipated this gathering to get so big.
Their dedication and hard work brought them to the spotlight a lot quicker than anyone could ever imagine, performing at several events with musicians such as Patti Smith and Tegan and Sara.
Because of their growth, the choir now meets two times a week at a tavern in downtown Toronto, starting off each session with the handing out of the lyrics for everyone to familiarize themselves with each song by the end of each session.
Their different ranges and types of voices brings to light the amazing things that can happen when we see the power in working together.
The video above is living proof of what happens when all voices come together. Who knew that singing together under one roof, one voice could help #Rewordit!
