Grady O’Brien, a four year old, was walking home with his six-year-old brother Brendan and their nanny when a man approached them and punched the nanny in the face. He then grabbed Grady O’Brien and ran away.
Jesus Delgado, a cook at nearby T2 Tacos, heard Brendan’s cries for help and immediately ran to search for him. Upon catching up with the kidnapper, Delegado shared that, “the kidnapper tried to convince him to walk away”.
“He told me, ‘It’s not your problem, man. It’s not your problem. Leave me alone with the kid,'” said Delgado. I couldn’t help but notice the little Grady O’Brien struggling and pleading for help. Ignoring his stupid suggestions, “I said, This is my problem. This is my problem, because why you take this boy?”
Delegado was lucky enough to keep the kidnapper busy until the police arrived to arrest him. Delgado is a father to a young girl with special needs, and since the incident, fans of the hero have teamed up to raise money for his daughter. So far the fans have been able to raise $5000.
“Thank You for saving my nephew! I am forever grateful and will pray for your family and your daughter”, said Anne O’Brien.
